Switching my route to avoid Al Quoz – am I overthinking this

PostPn 13 kwi, 2026 16:41

I’ve got two ways to get from Marina to my office in DIP – one goes through Hessa Street with all those weird dips and patched sections, the other takes me through Al Barsha but adds an extra fifteen minutes. Lately I’ve been wondering if the time saved is even worth what the constant rattling and jarring is doing to my car. I started looking into dubai bad roads car suspension issues and realized I’m probably speeding up wear on my tie rods and struts just by taking the shortcut every day. There’s a detailed post on stations.ae that explains how those repetitive sharp impacts from uneven surfaces slowly destroy the alignment and bushings without you feeling a dramatic failure. Now I’m torn – do I suck up the longer drive to save my suspension in the long run, or am I being paranoid and should just get my car checked every 10k km instead? Would love to hear what other daily commuters do.
