Escalade I'm looking at has a weird vibration at highway speeds, seller says it's just tires
Went to check out a 2016 Escalade Platinum over at a dealer in Al Quoz yesterday and the thing is absolutely loaded with the cooled seats and the rear entertainment and everything works like it should around town, but when I took it on the E311 and got up to about 120 kph there was this subtle vibration through the steering wheel and the seat that the seller immediately blamed on flat spotted tires from sitting on the lot too long, which could be true or could be a driveline issue that I really don't want to inherit because I've read enough about these 6L80 transmissions and torque converter shudder to know that a simple vibration can turn into a very expensive rebuild if you ignore it, so I'm thinking I need to get a proper Dubai Cadillac Inspection Service Experts to put it on a lift and check the U joints and the transmission mount and maybe do a road force balance on the wheels before I commit to anything, because I'm not about to take the seller's word for it and end up with a truck that shakes itself apart on the way to RAK, anyone had a similar experience with an Escalade or Yukon where the vibration actually was just tires or am I right to be paranoid.
