Finally a Dubai shop that didn't give me a headache over a simple Mini brake job
Took my wife's 2016 Cooper S Clubman in for a brake pad change last Tuesday at a place near Al Quoz that a guy at the office recommended and I have to say it was a relief dealing with actual Mini Cooper brake pad service professionals who didn't try to upsell me on rotors I didn't need or act confused when I asked if they had the correct pad wear sensor for the rear because apparently there are two different styles depending on the build date and nobody ever seems to stock the right one. The mechanic knew right away that the inner pads were wearing faster which is just a Mini thing because the slider pins get sticky in this humidity and he took the time to clean them out and relube them properly instead of just slapping the new pads in and calling it a day. The best part was they actually had the proper diagnostic tool to reset the service reminder and the electronic parking brake without doing that weird pedal dance that never works and the car stops dead straight now with zero noise and my wife stopped giving me the look every time she drove to work and heard that embarrassing squeal at the traffic lights. It's funny how something so simple can make such a difference in your sanity.
